Ava 2 Months Old!!

I can't believe she's already 2 months old. She is growing too fast!! She is smiling and giggling more and more each day!

Lance and Sally's wedding

We had so much fun at their wedding. Bradley especially, being the curious one he is, loved talking to Sally's family. He learned all about the Philippines and even how to say a few words. Leslie was a great flower girl and enjoyed playing with all of the little girls but was not having it at picture time!! Jackson was one of the paparazzi..I mean photographers...there were many!! Ava was really good until about hour 4 she started to get tired. I can't believe she was awake most of the time.

1 Month Old

I tried to take a picture in this onsee two times. This time she was hungry so I fed her and she spit up all over it then the next time I put her in it and took her to Aunt Vickie's and she pooped and it got all over it. So this is the only pic I have of her in it lol



I can't believe a month has already passed. Ava has grown so much.
*She is nursing about every 2-3 hours during the day and only gets up once at night.
*She is a really good baby and for the most part is content just laying there looking around. *She recently started cooing and really wants to talk to us and smiles so big it melts your heart!
*She is so strong and has been holding her head up for a few seconds since the day she was born and now even longer with less bobbing.
*She loves her sister..and brother. Daddy holds her while he plays his driving game and she loves to watch him play the guitar. I put her in her bed when she turned 4 weeks old. It was a lot easier just rolling over to nurse her, but I didn't want it to turn out like Leslie and struggle with her staying in her bed till shes 4!!
* She reslly does not like a paci. She has taken one maybe 5 times.
* Loves to chill in her boppy lounger and her portable swing..but not the full size one!
* Likes to grab my hair with her chubby little hands and man shes gotta grip.
I have been holding her this whole time and typing with one hand...she may be a little spoiled..but hey shes the last one (really, I'm getting my tubes in a few weeks)
I love all of my kids but I know how much it cost to raise them and if I had another one I would have to get a new car and mine is almost paid off! So were blessed to have what we do have and couldn't ask for more...really..no more please lol :)

Halloween 2010

We went to my friend Carrie's neighborhood to trick-or-treat. The last couple of years we have just done church carnivals but this year the kids really wanted to trick-or-treat so off we went. Ava slept in her stroller the whole time, about an hour and a half. It was so funny because Leslie got tired at the last couple of houses and when they tried to give her candy shes like no thanks I have enough...what kid says that??!!

Today I noticed Ava looked a little jaundice so I put her in the sunshine in her birthday suit and Leslie (also in her bday suit) laid down beside her and talked to her
while they tanned.

Also Leslie had a Halloween party Sunday and she was a LSU cheerleader for the second time...Her Grandpa will be so proud. :) Looks like this year Halloween will be hot. In Louisiana its always a mystery weather or not we will need a turtle neck and leggings or a tank top for our costumes. lol

Ava Rene' Shoemaker

She's finally here and as sweet as can be!
Ava came on 10-20-10 at 10:25am. 7lbs 10oz and 19 inches long.

I must say it was a pretty quick birth and I feel very lucky..only about 2 hours from the first painful contraction till she came.
Daddy is really great with her she likes for him to walk around with her and talk to her and play the guitar. She is a pretty good baby. We are still trying to establish a consistent meal time. The first night at the hospital she ate every 2 1/2 hours and went back to sleep. Both of our Dr.'s said we were doing so well we could go home after only had been at the hospital for 24 hours. Well last night it was not the case. I swear that girl ate every other hour. She has been better today so I am hoping tonight wont be as bad. Although I have managed to catch up on lost sleep with taking naps with her during the day. Here are some sweet pictures.

Leslie is a great big sister, she loves to talk to her and help change diapers.

My Maternity Pictures

I got my Maternity pictures in and I must say I think Target did a great job. I didn't get maternity pictures made with Bradley or Leslie so I decided to get them with Ava since she Will be the last. I was 34 weeks in these pictures but I will be 36 weeks Monday :) I go to the doctor Tuesday to get checked. I am really hoping she will come on the 9th. Just since the other two kids birthdays are on the 9th I thought it would be cool.

These are scanned copies so the black ones have little white dots on them.
I was not going to buy the disk for 125$ SORRY!!

It's almost that time again. I'm not a big sports fanatic but I do watch LSU and the Saints football. Gotta support our boys! Leslie has always had a LSU cheerleader uniform and this year I had to buy a new one because the other one was too small. She is still petite or should I say skinny for her age. I got a 4 top and a 3 bottom and unless she gains more than 10lbs between now and next year this one should last her 2 seasons. We still have the Saints shirt and Jersey Grandpaw got them last year that will fit this year so were ready to go!!!

The Three Pregos

There were 3 of us pregnant at my shower. On the left is my friend since 7th grade Kristin (with her first child McCade) and on the right is my friend since 9th grade Jennifer(with her first child Easton). They are both having boys..can you tell I am carrying higher than them? I am 4 weeks ahead of Kristin and 10 ahead of Jennifer. Looks like I'm leading the pack. Deslyn wanted Leslie to come play with her and she said, "hold on I'm taking a picture with the pregnant people" LOL She is so silly!

Ava's Baby Sower

I had my shower at Aunt Vickie's house today and it turned out great! It was small with about 12-15 people but we had a good time. Ava got a lot of cute outfits and a couple of sweet blankets made by Aunt Vickie and Grandmother and a cute outfit and bloomers Grandma embroidered her name on. I also have two other friends that are pregnant but they are both having boys so I guess Ava will have some little boyfriends to play with. Here are some pictures of the party...

Lake DeGray

I was going through my memory card and found a few pics I have that we took at Lake DeGray. We had lots of fun, but would probably be even better if we went early fall or late spring. I took these pictures on our little walking trail adventures. Leslie got tired halfway through our mile half mile walk LOL so she is pouting in the last picture.

We found a tree that looked like a 4 so Leslie said it was hers!

Said her feet were hurting and she was hot..uhh..yeah me too!
